City Government of Fortuna

Visit with the people who keep Fortuna going, City Hall, the police and public works crew. The City publishes an annual informational newsletter.

California Conservation Corps

The Shasta District includes residential programs in Fortuna, Ukiah and Leggett and a non-residential program in Manila as well as other areas. The CCC is the oldest, largest and longest-running youth conservation corps in the world! Nearly 90,000 young men and women have worked more than 50 million hours to protect and enhance California’s environment and communities and have provided six million hours of assistance with emergencies like fires, floods and earthquakes.

Lost Coast 4x4’s

This 4-wheel drive club was formed in Fortuna in 1992 to promote safe, fun, and responsible outdoor recreation. It is host to an annual “River Bar Cleanup” that removes tons of garbage from the Fernbridge area along the Eel River. It is an annual participant in the Fortuna Rodeo Parade and works as volunteers for local events, such as the annual Truckers Christmas convoy Parade, Ferndale Great Kinetic Sculpture Race, etc. The club also hosts an annual "Lost Coast 4x4's Toy Run" to collect toys for underprivileged kids at Christmas time.

River Lodge

The newest meeting place and the center of social life in the Friendly City. This state-of-the-art facility, located on Riverwalk Drive, is available for meetings, receptions, seminars or any gathering of people. A commercial kitchen and outdoor barbecue complement the beautiful interior.
