Fortuna businesses say "thank you" to their customers with tickets for
free holiday movie screenings at four special shows at the Fortuna
Theater. Tickets available for customers of participating Fortuna
businesses only, good for kids 14 and under and parents of young children.

Fire truck rides, live nativity scene, carolers, refreshments and great
giveaways make this a holiday night to remember.

Friday, December 7 ELECTRIC LIGHTED PARADE
Bundle up and watch the big rigs, floats and other vehicles decked out in festive lights.
Leaves Redwood Village Shopping Center at 6:30. Travels up Fortuna Boulevard to Downtown Fortuna. Entries will be displayed in the streets from 9th to 12th Street.
Friday starts 6:30 p.m.
Admission Free.

Sunday Dec 9 FORTUNA CHRISTMAS MUSIC FESTIVAL
Delight to the music of the season performed by nearly 400 musicians
in a variety of ensembles, choirs and bands. A free afternoon full of
holiday music.
Scheduled to perform are the All Seasons Orchestra, groups from the
Fortuna High School Music Department, the Humboldt Harmonaires, Humboldt
Accordionaires, Tuba Christmas, Ferndale Community Choir, Quartet
Arioso, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Choir and the
Scotia Band. The concert begins at 12:30pm and ends at 6pm.
Decorated Christmas wreaths are sold during the concert to support the
Fortuna Historical Commission. Wreaths are donated and decorated by
community groups, businesses and individuals and are on sale during the
event in the River Lodge Steelhead room.
Because of the limited parking, and the festival's popularity,
organizers have arranged for additional parking at Fortuna High School
and shuttle service from there to the door of River Lodge. A shuttle
donated by the city of Fortuna will make regular trips to and from the
festival. There will also be overflow parking in the lot behind Best
Western Country Inn on Alamar Way.
Admission to the festival is free. Fortuna's River Lodge Conference Center
is on Riverwalk Drive on the west side of Highway 101. If traveling on
Highway 101, take the Kenmar exit, left on Riverwalk Drive, one-tenth mile

Wednesday, December 12 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR
Four homes, decorated for the holidays are selected for this event. Four unique themes and four different homes every year.
