Hops in Humboldt

Taste the brews that are making Humboldt County famous. The Fourth Annual Hops in Humboldt will take place Saturday, August 25, 2007 in Fortuna’s Rohner Park.

Local microbrews from Eel River, Mad River, Six Rivers and Lost Coast Brewing Companies will be available for tasting, along with samples from other Northern California and Oregon breweries.

This festival also gives recognition to local home brewers. Also enjoy live music, arts and crafts, and have a bite to eat. There is a separate play area for children, so bring the whole family for suds and sun in Fortuna.

Hops in Humboldt will be held from 11 AM until 6 PM. Beer tasting will take place from noon to 5 PM. Admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the gate, and includes a logo beer glass.

Tickets are available at The Eel River Brewery, Lost Coast Brewery, Six Rivers Brewery, Mad River Brewing Company, The Works (Eureka and Arcata), and the Fortuna Chamber of Commerce Office. Proceeds will benefit youth scholarships selected by the Rotary Clubs of Fortuna and Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority.
