The North Coast of California, and in particular Fortuna, has the much-favored "Mediterranean Climate" which allows many types of plants to flourish here that would not even survive elsewhere. But because this is such a small area, most gardening books do not mention it. This section showcases some of the techniques that favor both flower and vegetable gardening in this area.
